My Wedding, My Style

by | Aug 18, 2025

Choosing your wedding venue is one of the most exciting & monumental steps in your wedding journey. Get it right, and so many other details fall beautifully into place.

Rather like meeting your life partner, you may not know exactly what you’re looking for when you set out, but when you find the one, you just know.

The best venues attract like-minded suppliers, creating a dream team that allows the venue staff to focus entirely on you, while your chosen suppliers work seamlessly in and around your day. There’s a reassuring ease in knowing everyone knows the space and how to make it sing.

With 25 years behind us, go.botanica has an ever growing list of fabulous venues we’ve dressed time and time again. Like us, many have only flourished with time. Here are a few of our all time favourites…

Pangdean Barn
Beautiful Pangdean Barn is the perfect example of passion and commitment to the wedding industry. Twenty five years ago, this working farm opened the doors to its spectacular 18th century oak framed barn. Since then, it’s become one of Sussex’s most sought after venues. Today, the barn is a little more polished, with facilities expanded to cater to all your celebration needs, yet still brimming with character.

Outdoor ceremonies here are pure magic, held in the apple orchard beneath a 500 year old mulberry tree. We love to enhance this space with natural, blousy arrangements that complement the rambling roses threading their way through the orchard.
Inside the barn, warm candlelight pairs perfectly with an eclectic mix of our arrangements, adding a lush informality to the rustic beams. What hasn’t changed in all these years is Pangdean’s refreshingly bespoke approach – no packages, no fixed menus, no noise restrictions, no corkage, free use of their gorgeous props, and honestly… the most incredible food, ever.

Still a working farm. Still a family home. And still the warmest welcome from Nicky and her amazing team.

Firle Place
Ah, Firle Place. We confess—it might just be our personal favourite.
You’ll fall in love before you even see the house. Crossing the cattle grid and winding your way down the long single track, you arrive at a breathtaking 15th-century manor. Remodelled in the Georgian era, its French-château-style exterior hints at grandeur, while the interiors and it’s quiet, leafy courtyard whisper pure Tudor elegance. Speckled across the surrounding fields, sheep graze lazily, adding to the English countryside romance.
Ceremonies can take place in the nearby Anglican church, in the Great Hall, or most popular of all in the sun dappled courtyard, accessed through the house’s famous dusty blue doors. We love designing floral arches or abundant garden urns here, which can be cleverly adapted for the reception.

The Georgian riding stables are effortlessly stylish for a wedding breakfast, while a marquee in the gardens offers sweeping views of the house as your backdrop. However you choose to use this space, it will be unforgettable.

Pelham House
Looking for a venue that allows you exclusivity for your celebrations? then Pelham House in Lewes is a go to.

Our friends at Pelham House offer the run of this beautiful Georgian town house, including a stylish indoor ceremony room and one of the prettiest garden pavilions you can imagine. We adore dressing the pavilion with asymmetric posts, romantic floral arches, or large urns overflowing with tumbling blooms to echo the gardens. Even when English weather plays its tricks, Pelham’s indoor ceremony space transitions seamlessly, and we design all arrangements to be repurposed throughout your day. With 29 en-suite bedrooms and a bar straight from a wedding day dream, you’ll have everything under one roof.

Our team recently joined other preferred suppliers here for their chef’s table event where we experienced exceptional food & divine cocktails.
go.botanica has dressed this fabulous venue many times over the years in an enormous variety of styles, we know it like the back of our hand!

Brookfield Barn
Tucked away off the beaten track near Horsham lies Brookfield Barn, Pelham House’s rustic sister.

While the style is more country charm than Georgian elegance, the attention to detail and flexible approach are identical. Ceremonies can take place outdoors overlooking the serene lake, often visited by grazing deer, where we love to style the pergola with floral arcs, informal plinth arrangements, or lush aisle meadows (sometimes… six!).

Inside, a stunning glazed wall frames the lake view beautifully. Perfect for a floor meadow and pew ends to lead the way. These designs repurpose effortlessly for your wedding breakfast. With 10 luxury bedrooms and a gorgeous suite for the Bridal party to get ready! Brookfield is seamless perfection.

Blue Door
And finally, the supplier that can truly do it all, Blue Door Weddings.
Bryony and her exceptional team offer an impressive selection of venues, including the stunning Michelham Priory in Hailsham and the utterly unique Lewes Castle. From your very first enquiry, they guide you every step of the way, introducing you to their plethora of fabulous suppliers tried and tested over many years.

They are the safest pair of hands you could wish for. Nothing fazes this team; their attention to detail and personal investment shine through in every wedding they deliver.

Surrounded by so many incredible venues, the hardest part is choosing the one that feels like yours. But once you do, the rest will fall into place, just like the perfect bouquet!
